Here's a feedback from a guy who's still single and seeking true love. Falling in love is often a way to find yourself - your real self, so falling in love is always not easy; many of us aren't even sure what we are getting ourselves into! I want to know how to understand my lady appropriately, I dont want to run into another heartache again,despite the fact that I just end up a victim of love not too long ago from a relationship of over 7 years. No one ever let me be the kind of man I am made of, in other words, they don't find it easy to let go off me, and they don't seem ready for my love. Looks aren't everything, let me tell you. So what if you're not Angelina Jolie? Men aren't interested in dating that fantasy anyway.

They want a normal girl next door type to date, not some supermodel.

Don't believe it? I'm living proof. Not only was I about thirty pounds heavier many years ago, but I was single and depressed out of my mind.

But as I was sitting at a bar with my friends, who are all gorgeous and attracted guys like flies to honey, I realized that I wasn't the only slightly less than attractive woman in the room – and they all had guys hanging on them.

What the heck was I waiting for? Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I just started talking to a guy that I thought was cute – and I ended up getting his phone number. Here are the tricks that I found to win ANY guy over.

#1 – Don't Play Dumb

It's a common misconception that men like dumb women.

It's not true. While there are some men that like to hook up with less than intelligent women, do you really want to attract those types of guys? Instead, don't pretend like you don't know something if you do know it.

#2 – Be a Little Girly

You don't have to wear a dress to be girly, but you should care about what you look like.

Play up your best features so that you feel pretty and confident. For example, when I was a little heavier, I made sure to wear tops that had V necks because they showed off my slim neckline. And my blue eyes were always surrounded by a lighter eyeliner that made them pop.

#3 – Show Off What You Enjoy

If you like the team that's playing on the TV at the bar, why not point out that you like them? You should be open about the things you like so that you can attract the guys with similar interests too.

And if it's something that they might not be interested in, don't worry about it. You should show that you're someone who thinks about more things than just dating and hooking up.

#4 – Have an Opinion

The girls who always say that they don't care about certain things can be incredibly annoying to a guy.

Guys want a woman who isn't afraid to say what she thinks and what she believes. So, if the guy asks what drink you like or what kinds of music you like, make sure you have a specific answer.

That's the perfect starting point for a conversation, after all.

#5 – Don't Complain…Unless It's Funny

Whining and complaining are instant turnoffs for a guy.

Guys want to meet new and fun people, so if you tend to complain, make sure you keep them to a minimum and try to make them as sarcastic as possible to ensure that he's laughing with you and not at you.

#6 – Never Talk about Your Weight

A woman who is focused on her appearance and her weight is going to be an instant turn off for a guy, even if they say they don't mind.

Try to keep your weight issues to yourself – the guy doesn't want to hear it.

#7 – Be Talented

If you can pop the top of your beer off with your teeth, why not show it off? Even if you have a talent that's not overly girly, you should be proud of things you can do that might be fun to showoff.

At a karaoke bar? If you're a good singer, why not belt out the tunes your voice can handle?

#8 – Ask Them Out

Men love it when the woman takes the lead in the relationship, so if you're interested in a guy, ask them out before they have the chance. It's very likely that the guy was going to ask your out anyway, so by doing it for them, you've helped them stop being nervous – and they'll appreciate it.

#9 – Don't Take Anything Personally….

Of course, some guys are going to say no to your date offers, so don't take it personally.

Also, some guys are going to want to joke with you and try to cut you down to get your attention, so don’t it personally. Most of the time, they're not actually trying to be mean.

#10 – Know When to Walk Away

But some guys are just being jerks, so if you feel like you're being made fun of, you have the right to walk away – and you should.

Most women have tendency to "think too much" i think, and of course i do not mean ALL women are behaving in this way.

I have female friends who are 'on the other side of the extreme'... they tend to live 'too much' in the moment, so they do not think much about the consequences of the decisions they are making or the actions they are taking...

Many times, if you do not think a little bit more about the consequences of your own actions and decisions, it can lead to undesirable results and outcomes.

On the other hand, for some of these people, it seems that heaven luck is on their side. Even though they do things a little bit too quick without thinking a little more about the consequences of their own behaviors, it does seem that they tend to be able to jump on various golden 'opportunitues' just a little ahead of everyone else!

I know how hard it can be for a man to try to persuade his woman once the girl is already suspecting on him.

So if you are a woman reading this, there's a deep implication here. Relationship counsellors tell us that couples needs to have good communication for a long lasting, blissful relationship; but many relationship therapists seldom tell you that HUMAN communication is the hardest thing on earth.

I was never able to talk with her about how stupid and immature the reason we broke up was. I tried very hard for weeks and weeks to get her to talk to me after a 1.5 year relationship and she would not do it. It made me feel that what we had and what we shared meant nothing to her. I don't believe that was the case but by her not talking to me that was how I felt. It made me angry and depressed for quite some time and made me question myself. Eventually through mediatation and God's influence I realized that I was not the problem and that she was the person who lost more than I did.

True, you need more than culinary skills to pull off a successful relationship, but trust me, no guy would ever complain about his girlfriend cooking too well!

Believe it or not, most men want a women who takes care of him in a motherly way without being too much like his own mother. He wants you to do his laundry, buy his toilet paper, and yes, cook for him. Looking to start a new step in your relationship?

Give cooking a try to help your main man fall madly in love.

1) Where to Start

If you never baked bread with your mom, or even learned how to boil water on the stove to make pasta, cooking may be a bit of a challenge for you. Luckily, you’re not on your own.

You can us a variety of techniques to start learning the basics of maneuvering around a kitchen. Once you’ve learned the first few skills, the rest won’t seem very difficult at all!

Check out your local bookstore. Cookbooks come in all shapes and sizes, and there are even some for beginners or young adults.

Choose a book that has recipes that sound tasty to you—if you won’t taste-test, you shouldn’t serve to a guest; that’s my rule. Make sure you start with recipes for meals. Desserts can be fun to make (and eat), but baking is more difficult than cooking, so if you’re new to this game, don’t try to bake a cake from scratch on your first day!

While in the bookstore, you can check out some great food magazines as well. These come with recipes as well as handy articles containing numerous hints for new chefs.

Television is a great place to learn as well. Check out the networks solely devoted to food, as well as other channels that showcase the preparation of recipes. When you see something being done, you can get a feel for how to do things.

You can even TiVo or record the show so that you can follow along at your own pace and make the same meal!

For advanced beginners or those who completely want to dive into the world of food, check out the classes at your local community center or at a junior college. Sign up for some that sound fun and interesting! You’ll shell out a little more money this way, but you’ll get one-on-one instruction from some great chefs.

2) The Menu

Of course, when you’ve cooking for another person, like your sweetie, it’s always best to find out ahead of time what he likes to eat!

If your boyfriend is allergic to chocolate, for example, taking a chocoholic baking class may not be very helpful. If you want your new culinary skills to be a surprise and really make your man melt, simple take notice to what he grabs off of a buffet line or orders at a restaurant.

When in doubt, call his mother. She may even be able to share the exact recipes he loves best.

3) The Big Day

When you learn to cook, you can continue to please your man daily (or every once in awhile at least, if you aren’t ambitious enough to cook dinner every day).

However, after learning a new skill, you can really get your honey’s mouth to drop if you plan a very special meal just for him. Set the mood for love—buy some candles, pop open a great bottle of wine, and have a little mood music ready.

Make the setting even more romantic by keeping the work you’ve done under wraps. Who wants to stare at a pile of dirty dishes as they eat?

You probably won’t have time to clean up before serving dinner, so if you don’t have a separate dining room, set up a card table in the living room. With the lights dimmed and rose petals sprinkled around, it’ll seem like a four-star restaurant.

Remember, however, that you boyfriend will be focused the most on the food. Prepare everything to perfection and be sure to keep courses hot. Enlist a friend to help you prep during the day if you’re still a little nervous.

Don’t worry too much though—even if you burn dinner, it’s the thought that counts.

When your boyfriend get that first bite, he’ll see how much effort you’re putting into making the relationship work. Love is only a pork chop away.

Save The Marriage: How to Keep Your Man in 7 Easy Steps

Men say that they are rational and that women are emotional. Women, however, believe that men are half-deaf and that they are the rational ones.

This is one of the reasons that some marriages seem to self-destruct. Men and women simply have different ways of communicating!

Ladies, if you’d like to save your marriage, follow these simple steps and you can save a marriage that is struggling or make a good marriage even stronger.

Step 1. Change the Way You Talk

Men speak differently than women do, which means that they hear things differently as well. My friend Elise once said to her husband that she missed having another couple to spend time with and he thought that she meant she was bored with being with him.

It may be totally irrational to ladies, but it makes sense to men. While a man’s ego is in his pants, his insecurities are in his ears, and he can hear things that you never say or mean.

Make sure that he understands what you are saying, and if he misunderstands, change the way you’re saying it so that he gets it correctly.

Step 2. Talk to His Buddies

If your relationship is rocky, talk with his buddies. While a woman’s best friends may have a hard time telling their friend’s husband about his wife’s problem, a man’s best friend usually doesn’t.

Talk with them and try to figure out what his real take is on the relationship. Chances are you will hear that your husband has been saying glowing things about you, as men can more easily talk to their friends than they can to their wives.

Step 3. Be “Wifely”

In this modern day and age women often expect men to do at least half of the housework. The problem comes when a woman takes her husband for granted and allows him to do almost everything around the house.

No matter how busy you are, or how frustrated or tired you are, take a few minutes out to be “wifely”. If he’s lounging on a chair, ask him if he’d like a drink.

If he takes a lunch to work and usually makes his own, make one for him every once in awhile. It may seem like a small thing, but trust me, it will be greatly appreciated.

Step 4. Show Him Your Desires

A man likes nothing better than to know that his wife desires him. Show him how much you desire him. Take him dancing and dance close with him like you used to do. Take a shower together and bump up against him.

Men, like women, like to feel desired, so make sure that your man knows how much you desire him.

Step 5. The Way to His Heart

What is the way to your man’s heart? Is it through sports, or is it through food? Rediscover the way to your man’s heart and join him on his quest to enjoy it.

If he loves sports, try to get involved. If he enjoys food, learn how to cook some gourmet food together. If he is into reading, read the same book and discuss it between the two of you. Most men enjoy having their wives with them, so find ways to be together.

Step 6. Sex Isn’t Everything

Here’s where we go against everything that most women learn at an early age. Yes, men enjoy sex…however…they often enjoy it much more when it’s withheld for awhile.

Instead of jumping right into bed, especially if you’re fighting, abstain for a bit. Take time instead to touch, cuddle, and talk to one another. It may frustrate your man in the beginning, but sooner than later he’ll realize what you’re doing and why and will come to appreciate you more. Men like to be held too, so curl up against his back at night and hold him.

Step 7. Tell Him Everything

As I’ve said before, men often hear things that their wife never said. Their imagination tends to go wild and they start thinking that their wife no longer loves them or finds them attractive. This is because some men are a lot more fragile than they’d ever have you believe.

Instead of hiding things from him “just to make it easier”, tell him everything. Don’t hide anything from him.

If you’re thinking about going shopping with another couple, tell him. If you want to purchase a new dress, talk about it. The more you inject him into your life, the more he’ll be able to relax about the relationship.

Men are just as difficult to understand as women. Unlike women, they hide their feelings because they believe it to be the “manly” thing to do. If you want to save your marriage, don’t let him hide. Give him all of yourself and make him give all of himself so that your marriage can survive.

she has to be of the female species and has to like sports and be intelligent and sarcastic at times and funny. i don't drink or smoke or shoot drugs. Never have and never will. so I do not go to bars and like a more romantic or fun eventfull evening!

a soul. they also have to be fun, intellegent, a little sarcasm never hurt anybody! they have to love me for who I am and I love the confident carry themselves well, but passionate and i love sensitive girls. ( like ones that cry during some movies)

sarcasm...but the intelligent sarcasm, deep staring eyes that pierce me everytime our eyes meet. so much so that I melt on the inside and look away blushing!

I have a bit of an an anger problem due to low self-esteem, and for some time resented my very existance! I have been working through this. Just dont go digging up my lawn to look for my sister!

I just do not know what women like so I try to be different with each women. my progress so far has taught me that women do not like nice guys cause they appear weak, the tough guy is an asshole, the funny guy can be too wierd at times or take nothing seriously! the shy guy is weak or unstable inside, the passionate guy is clingy, the romantic guy is pushing the relationship thing too hard, the geeky guy is only here to be made fun of and boost others self-esteem and ego, the smart guy thinks hes all that, the dumb guy is not smart enough, and the perfect guy seems too good to be true. It’s true, you honestly can’t! You may find yourself sexually attracted to someone who is exactly like you, or to someone who is your polar opposite.

You can be attracted to someone who is much older, or to someone who is quite a few years younger. But what do you do when you realize that you are attracted and desperately in love with a married man?

1) The Bounds of Matrimony

Marriage is a sacred institution. Well, it used to be.

It used to be that you got married and stayed married until the day you died. Now, however, people get married often for the wrong reasons.

The first thing you need to do when you fall in love with a married man is to get CLEAR about what you want in your life and love relationship.

Unfortunately, there are those men that take advantage of their sad situation by sleeping with as many women as they can.

These men are few and far between, but you first need to make sure that the object of your obsession is falling in love the way you are falling in love with him.

Talk to him. Explain that you have strong feelings for him and that you would like to further your relationship. Make sure that his marriage is truly rocky, because if it is not, things could become horrible before the situation is fully resolved.

Truth is, very often you are NOT really in love with the man himself; you are "in love" with going through that kind of challenges of getting a hard-to-get man!!! Most women will deny this; BUT if you really think hard about it, you'll learn I'm speaking about the truths here.

If, however, your man feels the same way about you that you feel about him, it’s time to move things forward. I have often discourage my readers to go after a married man; but it his divorce is final and BOTH of you are very clear about what you want, there is no reason why you should not pursue this kind of relationship.

The crucial thing is - be prepared to take up FULL responsibility for all that will happen afterwards. In short, take full responsibility for all the outcomes!

3) To Sleep With Or Not?

This is the tricky question: do you sleep with your love or do you abstain until the marriage is officially over.

Some condemn women who make love to men who are still married, while others, usually those who have been in the same situation, understand all of the complexities and are much more forgiving.

Divorces can take years, so the decision as to whether or not to sleep with your love shouldn’t be made lightly.

For instance, if the man and his wife are separated, that is legally as binding as a divorce. It means that the relationship is officially on the downswing and that things will most likely be ending soon.

If, however, the man is still living with his wife, you may want to wait for a bit. Society should not be able to dictate your love for each other, but remember that it could make things a bit stickier when the divorce approaches, and that abstaining for awhile can make things easier and better later down the road.

4) When Kids Are Involved

The really tricky part in loving a married man comes if there are kids involved. The best advice that I can give you in loving a man with children is to stay out of it.

Be there to support your lover, but do not try to get in the middle of any argument he and the mother of the children are having.

You can enjoy the children, and can even raise them as your own should it come to that, but do not involve yourself with the mother. Trust me when I say that.

Your lover, the mother of the children, and the children themselves will thank you down the road for staying a neutral party.

If, after a significant amount of time, your love has not officially left his wife, it may be time to re-think things.

There should be no excuses, after a year or so, of a man who has talked about leaving his wife to still be with her. It is acceptable to make an ultimatum after a good amount of time has passed, but be prepared for your lover to choose his wife.

When it comes to loving a married man, you are the woman on the side, until such a time that he makes you his bride instead.

Just like women, you will find some men like a stronger woman.

They look for women who know how to carry their own. Men are attracted to women are tough, because they lack being tough themselves. You will want to consider the fact that you are going to want to be naturally tough. When you think about the tough image, you have to walk the walk and talk the talk.

You cannot fake something like this. You will want to make sure that you do everything you can to be yourself when on a date. There is a truth behind the toughness. These types of women are less likely to become attached too quickly and they are confident women.

Men like confidence, however, they don't like bosses.

There is a difference between being a tough women and being a bitch. A bitch is really someone who knows how things need to be done and when it should be done. They are very controlling and they like to start trouble.

However, when it comes to being a bitch, you are so controlling that it is unbearable.

You need to learn the difference between being a strong woman and being a bitch. You don't want to come off like you are a bitch or someone who is overbearing, but you will want to think about what you can do to stand strong for your principals.

There are men, however, who do like to be controlled and pushed around because they cannot control themselves. This is not a good relationship. First, you do not control your mate, but you do need to support them.

Also, you need to make sure that later the relationship doesn't become on that is depending. You don't need someone to depend on you, and you wouldn't want someone to look up to you for such much advice that they are unable to focus on life.

These types of relationships take too much energy from someone and it can be very straining.
You will want to learn how to change your personality a little if you would consider yourself a bitch. You don't want to be a bitch, but you will want to be a strong woman.

Also, when you think of someone like a bitch, you will find that they have a mouth on them. First of all, men don't like women who they can't take out to a park or home to their mommy. They need a strong woman, but they also need a woman who can refrain from acting like that.

You still need to be a lady at times. You need to still have manners. The key to being a strong woman and not a bitch is having a plan.

Most strong women plan a lot. They have a five-year plan, and some will have a 15-year plan. They know what they want and how to get it, but they don't feel the need to control others around them. They are good supports.

When their mate is completely lost they are able to help them stand up after they have been knocked down. They don't make choices for their mate, but they are able to strongly suggest what is best through knowledge and experience.

Men really don't like bitches, but they like to have someone who can guide them. They will have someone in their life to help them make good choices and that someone needs to be a strong woman.

It's hard to balance out the difference between a strong woman and a bitch. You don't want to be a bitch, but you do need to show others that you are able to stand strong through the toughest of times.

You will find that there are a lot of people who lack ambition and a strong woman will never lack ambition. They are filled with ideas and knowledge to help them get whatever they want. The fact that a strong woman could get whatever she wanted is what attracts men.

Men like to be big tough guy, but here’s a secret ladies: when it comes to the bedroom, every man wants a woman to take control occasionally.

It’s true! Think of how you feel when a man lets his more barbaric nature come through occasionally. Don’t you feel desired and wanted? A man loves when a woman takes over in the bedroom for the exact same reasons.

When it comes to dating a single dad you have to realize that you are not only getting the date, but you are getting the children as well.

You will want to make sure that you think about some of the common mistakes that women will make when dating a single dad so that you can try to avoid making the same mistakes.

Keep in mind that there is nothing wrong with Mr. Right if he happens to be a dad. There are a lot of good qualities that will spurt for men who become fathers. You will find that many think more for others and learn how to show respect to others, there are a lot of single dad's who are great parents.

You will find that there is lots of common sense to dating anyone with children, but you will also want to keep in mind that you need to set priorities before you find a way to make things work.

Many women will run away from a relationship where their partner has children. This poses a problem because as you are trying to get to know a person, you will have to get to know the kid as well. If their kids don't like you then you aren't going to be scoring with dad.

You will want to think about the fact that your partner already has a child. If you two do have a future together, are you okay with knowing that part of your family really isn't your family? When it comes to relationships with the father you also need to allow that to develop naturally.

You will also want to think about the fact that this is something that needs to start as a friendship and then move up to other possibilities. Make sure that everyone is comfortable with you being near before you join the family. Talk to your mate about how it may be best for the children that you learn how to take things slowly so that everyone can accept the situation.

The children are going to be the most difficult part, because they want to trust you, but they have no reason. It is your choice on whether or not you bring the family together or you push it apart.

It is very important that you learn to communicate with the entire family and get along with the kids and even the ex-wife. If you do not try to keep the family as a family, you will find that the kids will stop to no limits on trying to get rid of you.

In addition, it never hurts to have the ex-wife on your side so that you can find respect from everyone involved. Keep in mind that if you want to be a part of his life, you have to accept his world.

What Men Want: The KEY is not to rush them!

There are many reasons why men can turn men away from making a commitment, but then there are some reasons that will push them straight into making a long-term commitment.

The key is not to rush them. You cannot make anyone commit to you.

1) Timing

You will just have to work and put the effort to giving them reasons to commit. The first thing that makes men commit is time. Once you put in some time in a relationship, the man will be able to feel more comfortable in the relationship and with his own feelings.

Sometimes you cannot rush love and you cannot rush a man into a commitment. Now if it has been years, it is clear that a commit is not in the future and you may need to re-evaluate the relationship, however, they will take this in stages where they will see you exclusively and then say that they love you, and then eventually you will get the ring that you have been waiting for.

The thing is that it could take a few years (one or two) to get the ring, but it is months before that count. You will begin to talk to each other.

2) Space

Secondly, you will want to think about giving space. It is very important that you give your mate space. You will need to give them space because you are not their sole contact.

There are going to be times where you need to be with the girls too. Take the time to set a day aside so that you both can have some time to yourself. It is space that makes the love grow in a relationship.

3) Friendship

Friendship is very important to men. You want to make it clear that you can be friends in the marriage. You can share a life together but at the same time it is important to make sure that you are taking the time to be friends and talking about things that are important.

You want to be able to spend time together and do the fun things that you both like to do. This will make it easier for you to have a great friendship as well as get him to commit to you.

4) Feelings

The fourth thing that makes a man want to commit is the feelings that they have inside for you. When a guy is looking for a girl to settle down with, he will know whether she is THE ONE for him because he will feel the love about her coming out.

He will know automatically that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her because of the feelings that he has when he is near her. It is going to be a great feeling and one that makes his heart happy.

5) Communication

Communication is going to be the fifth reason he wants to commit to a girl. Being able to talk to your partner is one thing that will help get the relationship off the ground.

You will want to make sure that you are both speaking about the things that are most important to you. When a man feels comfortable talking to his mate, this will be a good indication that things are going the way that they should. They will feel better and want to commit to each other better.

6) Bonding

Sharing a bond is something that a man and woman have to do together as well. Having a special bond between a man and a woman is going to be a big factor when a man is trying to decide if he should commit to her or not.

The way that he feels about her and the way that they get along will be a great factor in the way that the relationship goes. Having something in common and getting to know each other better is what a relationship is all about. Having that one special bond is going to make all the difference when it comes time for him to commit to a woman that he loves so much.

7) Laughter is the best medicine!

Everyone wants to have fun in his or her relationship. We all want to have some good laughs and have a good time doing the things that make us all happy. We want to make sure that we are keeping an open mind to having fun.

Men will leave for many reasons, but you will want to consider the fact that your behaviors are what will push them over the end. It's not the way that you look and it's not the money that you have in bank. There are many reasons why men will want to end a relationship.

The first thing is the nagging. You cannot make a man do anything. A lot of women will look at a man and say that they would like to change them. When you meet someone you cannot look at him or her as a project. You need to accept them for who they are. If you don't like who they are, then it is time for you to leave.

Secondly, you will find that a man will leave because of your own behaviors. If you make them feel like they are useless because you have taken on more roles in the relationship then needed. This means that you may pay for everything. Always have to drive. The control is what will make the relationship sour. You need to balance the relationship so that it is a give and take.

The give and take relationship is why healthier than a relationship that forces you to have to face everything yourself. You don't always have to pick the restaurant.

Thirdly, it's a lack of interest. The lack of interest is not in you, but that you have for them. If you don't show them the time that is needed to make them feel good about themselves, then you will only be hurting the relationship. You need to make sure that you have time everyday to call them or to see them, or even to show them you care - without pushing yourself to them.

Also, when you talk you need to allow them to talk and not just always be the listener. Like the country song goes "Sometimes I wanna talk about me". This means that you need to ask them every now and then how they feel, how their day went, ask things that are happening to them. This is one of the ways that you can show an interest, but it is also a way to allow them to feel about of the relationship.

Sometimes in a relationship you will hit a stalemate. This is where the relationship will get boring. You don't always want to do the same things or talk about the same things. You need to learn how to spice it up. This is just one of the ways that you will find that you can keep the relationship going. You will want to go to a certain restaurant for special occasions, however, any other time you need to explore other options and businesses.

You will want to make sure that you also give them some space. Men are hard creatures to understand. Sometimes they need to make some time for their buddies and you need to realize that. You can't always be with them. You can't always be calling them. In fact, if you try to be with them too much it can be borderline stalking. You will want to keep them some space. Keep in mind that distance can sometimes build a stronger relationship.

Finally, you have to allow yourself to trust them. Your paranoid behaviors will drive anyone to leave you. You need to realize that when they say they are at Mike's house then they are. If they have never given you the slightest reason not to trust them, then you will want to give them the benefit of a doubt.

Also, if you can't trust your mate then you don't belong with them. You can't have a good relationship with someone until you allow yourself to be with him. This is something that you will want to keep in mind when it comes to any relationship. You shouldn't be in a relationship that may keep you thinking that they are not faithful.

There are a lot of reasons why a guy will want to walk away. You need to be honest and trusting when it comes to a relationship and that is exactly what men expect from their mate when it comes to a healthy, long relationship.
